Pixel 7a, Fold & Tablet.

Buy-flow and launch experiences for the Google Pixel hardware ecosystem — including the first Pixel foldable.

Role

Sr. Experience Designer

Led purchase experience UX for Google’s 2023 hardware portfolio across Google Store web and mobile. Designed buy-flow and launch experiences for Pixel 7a, Pixel Fold, and Pixel Tablet — including category-defining communication design for Google’s first foldable form factor.

Challenge

One store, three new categories.

Google launched three fundamentally different devices in one quarter — a mid-range phone, its first foldable, and a tablet that doubles as a smart display. Each required distinct purchase flows that communicate unique value propositions while maintaining a cohesive Google Store experience.

The Pixel Fold presented a particular challenge: how do you sell a form factor people have never held? The configurator needed to communicate the dual-screen experience, justify premium pricing, and build confidence in an entirely new product category.
